How to Edit Locked Application Fields

Michael McLeod Updated by Michael McLeod

In CredentialConnect, some application fields are locked during the application process to ensure applications are completed for the associated provider. This helps our insurance payers to be sure they're processing the right application and ensures data integrity across our platform.

Not to worry, you can still edit these fields using the provider profile. This guide will walk you through the process of updating the fields in the provider profile so you can submit an application with accruate and up to date information.
  1. While creating and submitting an application, you can identify which fields are locked by hovering over the field. If your cursor displays a forbidden symbol and you are unable to click into the field then it is locked and must be edited using the provider profile.
  2. To edit the locked field, click the link that directs you to the provider profile from within the application
  3. From the provider profile, locate the question you would like to update. Enter your answer in the appropriate box and then click the "Next" button to save the answer
  4. Once all answers have been updated, head back to your application by navigating to the "In Progress" page and clicking the blue pencil icon to open the application
  5. Your answer should now be updated in the locked field and you can proceed with submitting your application
