This article will walk you through how to create a new credential for Cigna's payer portal.

  1. Go to https://cignaforhcp.cigna.com/app/login and choose “Register” to create an account for a new user.
  2. Select Dental Provider and click "Next".
  3. Enter the TIN and Save, then click "Next".
  4. Enter in all of the contact information requested on the screen.
  5. Enter in a username and password to create an account and select your security questions.
  6. Read and agree to the terms and conditions before clicking “Next” to review the entered information.
  7. Review and approve the entered information. If anything needs to be corrected, click “Previous” to make changes. Otherwise, click “Submit”.
  8. Cigna has the option to create an account independently or via temporary credentials sent by the admin. The process of creating an account using temporary credentials is largely the same, but has a few small differences at the beginning of the process.  
    Instead of clicking the “Register” button, select “Use a temporary ID to register”. 
  9. Enter the temporary ID and temporary password provided, then click “Next” to continue through the process. The rest of the process follows the same account creation process described above.
